I work in the procurement packaging team for Europe tubs and lids. On a day to day basis I complete basic administration such as invoices, contract updates and pricing changes. Furthermore, I assist my team with savings and sustainability projects for this year.
I have developed professional communication skills as I have had to communicate effectively with suppliers and colleagues in a number of forms such as face to face meetings or via email. I have attended training sessions to help develop my skills such as Excel training or Standards of Leadership.
I enjoy my programme very much as I am completing my business management degree whilst gaining work experience in a global company. The topics I learn within my degree can be applied to my day to day job, this helps me develop as a young professional for the future.
My programme is all completed online and each module has a separate website with forums, planners and online textbooks. Furthermore, online or face to face tutorials are available to help you with key topics needed for your assignments.
I have meetings regularly with my line manager to discuss my progress both academically and in my job. Furthermore, we have an apprentice lead who supports us if we don't feel we can discuss anything with our line managers.
We have regular forums, emails and numbers which we can use to talk to our module tutors if we are struggling with our assignments. Furthermore, my practice tutor comes in quarterly to check our progress for the apprenticeship.
As i am studying for a business management degree and working in a business role, the two interlink regularly and I can apply my academic knowledge to the work i am completing in the hope it will be improved.
Yes, there is often social activities within the procurement function where I am based. Furthermore, the site offers sports teams and other hobbies for employees to be involved in.

With the support you gain and the knowledge you develop, Unilever sets you for a world of opportunities in the future. There sustainability approach is something that makes me proud to work for them as I feel I am making a real difference when I complete my projects.
