my role as a carpentry apprentice involves building stud walls cutting in cill boards plying floors for the tiler putting up roof trusses laying joists and flooring second fixing what involves hanging doors cutting and fitting skirting with scribes making sure there cut clean for a nice finish then coming back for a re visit and putting all the door handles and latches on
yes i have picked up many new skills in carpentry such as neater cuts and how to safetly do the job right ive passed my cscs test whats all about health and safety im currently doing maths level 2 whats helping alot with my numbers and messurements im learning alot when it comes to building walls and setting out joists being able to reasd drawnings alot better than before i started my course
i really enjoyed my apprentiship learning a trade and being outside working with others im very outgoing and love meeting new people and i have made plenty of friends along the way im enjoying maths its making everyday challanges much more easier to solve im looking forward to finishing my apprentship and going with a firm i will do well
when i first started i had a well organised induction into the work shop and a good idea of what i will need to bring each week and the same for maths i get alot of support for maths being its not my strong suit i would like more help in practical
i have a few carpenters i really get on with and they help me with anything there very willing to teach me and for me to learn and do jobs on my own i get alot of support from the assistant site manager such as jobs i need for college
i get alot of support towards maths before i sit a exam and extra help when its needed
yeah once ive finished my level 3 it will help so much for me getting into a good job at the end

its a good company to get into my only down fall is labouring alot when im there to learn carpentry and only have 3 years to do so
just agree to eveything they dont like youre opinion
