I have been put in the Battery Management Team and we look after the brand new I-Pace and control and update the software for its batteries. A typical day will include me coding MATLAB and picking out data
I have learnt how to code a bit as I knew nothing about it
I certainly don't regret it. Way better than uni and I can't wait to see what the future will hold for my career
We have blocks where we spend 5 weeks at work (JLR site) then 1 week at uni so I'd say its structured very well.
I receive all the support I need and don't get put under immense pressure as they realize I'm still an apprentice
Again, all the support I need and ask for is provided
My qualification will open doors as such for numerous roles so at the end of my apprenticeship I will be able to choose
There are and even in my team we have social days where we gout out for a meal or an activity
Yes
It is 100% better than going to uni. I am also so flexible and get along with my team meaning my manager and team supports me whatever the issue
Make sure you are passionate about the company and understand its key goals and achievements but also make sure the role you apply is what you want to do
