I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship so far. The induction week was great and really interesting. My current role has also been good in gaining an understanding of the business and finance as a whole, but I think the scheme provides great variety as we get to rotate roles.
I have developed my knowledge of finance through my CIMA courses at BPP. But also developed skills focused around the workplace, such as communication, time management and professionalism.
I have really enjoyed my programme so far, not only with the role I'm in but the opportunities outside of your day-to-day role. I have been involved in several projects working with other members of the business which has been really interesting.
The scheme is well organised balancing the time for study with work, it was also really organised when first welcoming us to the business.
Support is widely accessible regarding all sorts of issues, there are many groups that are willing to help and support you with all different kinds of issues, whether it be your manager or the apprenticeship team.
The support and resources are really good quality and the tutors welcome you emailing them with any queries you may have, so its really easy to contact them. Of the courses I have taken so far I have enjoyed being at the course provider.
I think the combination of learning and working works really well as it enables you to apply what you learn at work, and vice versa. It gives a much better understanding of what you are doing day to day.
These are all available and there are lots of groups you can join, however, I have not been involved as of yet.
Yes
It's a great company to work for as they really do invest in you as an apprentice and what you to do well. They provide excellent support as well as opportunities, and focus on helping you develop in your job but also putting an ownership on you.
Really get across why you want the apprenticeship and why you want to work for JLR, in the interviews just answer honestly and try to give examples where you can. If you have an assessment center just socialise with the other applicants and be confident in your abilities.
