  • I’ve learnt many new skills as my previous role was office based. Ive been. It has been a massive learning curve for me and I have thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills and improving them everyday

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Hugely, Ive massively enjoyed the first year with Openreach and look to have a number more

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It has been very well structured with study days etc but I feel that a few more would be hugely beneficial as I work by myself a large proportion of the time and therefore I’ve found it challenging to get all the appropriate pictures

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support but do find that due to huge demand my patch lead gets very busy and therefore he isn’t able to be help as much as he would like due to sheer demand

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Yes my assessor has helped me lots and given me lots of support

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Yes this qualification means I will no longer a trainee and allows me to progress in my career to the leve I want to be

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We do have activities, although due to working it’s hard to arrrange we have team meeting a every month or so to get together and there are evenings out

  • 9a. Would you recommend BT to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I enjoy the job and have already recommended to 3 of my friends that were looking for a change of career and I couldn’t recommend this Avenue more. The company training is great and give you everything you need


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • Be prepared to work hard and also ensure you have great customer service. Being comfortable with talking to people as well as heights is a massive plus
