Fabricator Review

My day to day basis of my job role is i work off a drawing and fabricate the beam or whatever type it is to the correct execution class also includes prepping plates for welds like full pen btt welds and part pen every days different also sometimes plates have to be welded i place before other pates can be fitted

i have learnt a lot of new skills and also developed existing skills i have developed my welding to a high quality which i used to do in college when i studied engineering at college we never used to do big welds it was always small 6 mm welds so its nice to learn different sizes

I enjoy not only the work but the people i work with its a good team they have at my workplace also there are trips to go on to site and see your work that you've fabricated getting put in place the company meets my all my expectations to a very high standard

my program is very well structured and put together very well and organised i have been provided all my induction and every thing was clear and easy to understand everyone gets proper training and our studying was moved for one college because the college wasn't providing us with the best training possible so the company moved us so we could the correct training

i receive a lot of support off everyone at William hare my mentor teaches me all the things i need to know on the shop floor and also bits about the factory and even sometimes a bit of history about the place we have someone that checks up on us with whats going on at college

i receive a plenty of support with my training from college and work my tutor we have a review with college every month at college and and my teacher/trainer comes to work and goes through how college is going and how i am doing and what everyone on with what unit and what still needs to be done

i think my qualification helps me with my apprenticeship because it helps me develop skills witch can help me in my job we also do welding and we also look into the written side of everything and also learn new skill that i don't ever do at work like sheet metal

There are a lot of activities to take part in with work out of work time like football teams,social events and charity events Raffles, bowling the company also has events like open events which are local to the area and if there isn't transport it will be provided by the company

this is a great company to work for there are lots of opportunity's in the company to do other things within to company and also work your way up in the company great people to work with all very friendly and always willing to help out also the work is very interesting and fun to do

The tips i would give to someone applying at this company is know a lot about the company and the history and what the company does and the process always have a few questions to ask about what you'll be doing the process be confident and dress formal to your interview and show that your intrested
