  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I would have liked more subject options for the apprenticeship programme. Overall the working aspect of the job has been very good. The company that I am with has a very good culture and I feel encouraged to learn and welcome within the organisation. I have only completed 1 module through QA so far and it was good. I look forward to learning more at the next module

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Overall it is suitably organised and very well structured. Unfortunately there was some administration issues on behalf of the training providing company which did cause some issues with regards to organising hotels and booking. My support and structure providing by Barclays is very good. Overall I am satisfied with this aspect of the apprenticeship

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • So far limited experience of this as I have only just completed my first module. My skills coach from QA- Waqas is very supportive and always willing to help and provide information when required. The materials and websites provided by QA to support the course have so far been very good.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have not yet completed a sufficient number of modules to comment on this. The next few modules that I have coming up are very relevant and will definitely help towards my job role. Understanding networks especially. By the end of the course I feel like I will definitely be able to perform better in my role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a number of activities going on at my work. There are frequently walks/runs around the local pond which are organised to help provide an opportunity to talk about Mental Health. I think this is fantastic. Additionally there is cricket and football teams that play weekly. There is even a group that go karting every week!

  • 9a. Would you recommend Barclays to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The main reason I would recommend Barclays is the working culture. It is a very nice environment to work in and for the first time I have a job that I enjoy going to in the morning without dreading it! Definitely the best working environment I have been in. They provide opportunities to learn and grow, and support you along the way.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • The key thing is that you fit in with their values. So research the Barclays Vales: Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship. If you think you fit in with this common values then find examples of the times you demonstrated them and be prepared to explain them during an interview!
