  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a business support officer. In my day to day work life i will; Book venues, book accommodation, raise PO's and process PO's, manage an inbox, printing, event preparation, skype calls, set up project letters, liaise with strand directors, email, phone calls, liaise with stakeholders. I also attend mettings and arrange meetings.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of new skills with invole; Using the AX System for finance Using Access How to put wording together for emails Putting together project letters Little tricks on Excel Learnt about booking events and helping preparing them How to use SLACK I have learnt to be more organised and prepared.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying the programme and enjoy that this is all online where i can access this at any points of the day. I also like the fact that i can go other the different subjects again if needed and how i can practice for the final exams. I also like the regular meetings with my mentor where i can see her face to face and get regular face to face training.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is structured ok. I would like to see my mentor more often to get the programme completed as quickly as i can, but i know this might not be do able. The programme is well thought out and give the students time to gather evidence and confidence to complete the final assessment.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have had huge support my my employer. I got a pay raise within the first couple of months and gained extra responablilty to help me progress in this career. I have support whenever i need it and have a weekly meeting with my mentor at work where i can have a moment to reflect on what i cmpleted the following week and what i have the week coming. This is also the time to ask for any help if needed.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My support from the trainer is good, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is always on time and has helped me massively as i had a previous college who went into administation so came to life time half way through and she has really helped me progress. I also think [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is organised and has a sort of plan so i can have a rough idea of what is to come next.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have yet to qualify, but i believe qualifying will give me more confidence and i will have gained more knowledge. I have also been told by my employer that if i qualify and they win the contract i will have the job as a business support officer, this has given me confidence and the drive to succeed.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Tribal have health being day every couple of months, where they have people from different professions come, we have free healthy snacks etc. Business support also have the opportunity to attend the many events we prepare and help the presentor, making sure the event runs smoothly. The team are also very supportive and people have been sent to complete a project management course.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Tribal Group to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Tribal is such a good company to work for. I have progressed my careers here already (And i am still an apprentice) is shows that they take people serious and can see when people are wanting to progress. The people that work at Tribal are all really friendly and helpful. The job that you complete is very rewarding knowing that you are doing your little part to help better education.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Tribal Group?
  • Go for it! It is in a great location, the staff here are all so friendly. You are able to progress and get seen and rewarded when doing your best! You even have opportunity to travel around the UK, with the company paying for your accommodation and giving you money to spend on your lunch. It is also very rewarding knowing that you have helped better education.
