Technical Support heading towards development once passed etc. My daily tasks involve taking part in the support system for Government Site and making sure the system is working constantly as well as completing fixes etc. Day to day I interact with co-workers regarding support and my manager and so on daily. Externally I talk to customers when required to do so. I am responsible for providing a constant and efficient support to the users on the system as well as looking for areas to provide fixes for common errors etc. Currently I am working on my development skills within Visual Studio etc.
I have learnt various development skills as well as SQl etc. I have taken part in mandortary training courses such as diversity etc and health and safety as well looking at external courses I can go into as my manager allows etc.
I have enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend the company to anyone looking for an apprenticeships. The team I work with are superb and provide the right balance to allow you focus on your job etc but also provide the push you need.
Recieve appreciation from all that you work with as well as acknowledgement for work you have completed well and to a high standard.
The programme is organised extremely well as we are provided with set times for college work and training etc.
The work-based supervisor was extremely helpful in providing information of what was required where as the academic tutor was abit lackluster and never responded as urgently as required.
We have multiple avenues of support, managers a possiblity to have a mentor and so on and we are supported superbly and gently guided towards passing the apprenticeship etc.
