  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

    • I work in operations for the investment bank at UBS in the exchange traded derivative client charging team. On a daily basis we deal with commission queries from clients usually relating to a discrepancy they have with what they have been charged by us for a trade. We also talk to the sales team to avoid us making losses.

    • I have gained overall confidence and feel it will help me going forward in my career

    • I enjoy everyday as I always leave having learnt something new

    • The general overall structure seems well put together but not so much so specifically in each area. Some roles seem to have a more structured training plan than others.

    • you receive good support from the organization as a whole as well as people in your team.

    • we get regular meetings with your training provider to discuss progression

    • a lot of the topics covered in the exams/qualification aren't particularly relevant to just your role but provide a good insight to the financial sector.
