  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I pursued and ultimately successfully secured an apprenticeship at UBS, and am now within the UHNW division within Wealth management. I perform a variety of roles within this sector, one main task being completing negative and general platform searches against individuals/legal entities to maintain high due diligence. Furthermore, there are many tasks/processes requiring completion that can be viewed as administrative, however these are all essential nonetheless, keeping the sector running smoothly and ultimately putting clients first. A more invested task which I do is prospecting (for potential new relationships), which involves forming a heavily detailed portfolio of information on the goal in question.

The exam/coursework is set out in a careful plan over the 18 months, with revision sessions and study days being arranged far in advance. Since this Wealth management programme has been running for many years, this has allowed the course to be refined, with an apprentices role becoming more clearly outlined to all.
