  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day to day role at Barclays is dealing with customers queries and worries. This can be anything from checking a balance to logging a fraud case. Within the role we deal with queries on a daily basic and get a resolution for the customer if this is possible, if not we can then escalate this further and find a resolution for the customer.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • When the apprenticeship first started there was a structure in place which allowed us as learning to have an idea of what the day ahead of us was looking like, on our apprenticeship days the structure was on the morning we would go through the book and on the after noon we were able to overlook anything we didn’t fully understand, after a couple of weeks of having a set structure the structure did change and we weren’t fully aware of what was happening however the structure is now back in place and we are fully aware of how the apprenticeship days work.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • From my employer I receive a lot of support, this support is delivered to us through coaching sessions, through team meeting, and also support is delivered to us on the floor when we are on the phones. If we do need any support we can ask any team leader and the help is given to us, we are also encouraged to use our own knowledge and search on kit for the answered however the support is very good.
