I cleaned different areas, eg. Toilets. I also was involved in food preparation. I cooked baked potatoes and learned how to use different kitchen equipment for example a machine which shredded cheese. I also organised the shop by prising products and laying out products to make the shop look organised.
I learned how to cook different foods and I think this will be useful in the future when I go to university for example. I also learned how to price stock in shops by adding a percentage of the original price that the product was bought for and how to organise a shop.
It was really fun. I really enjoyed learning how to use different things. I also enjoyed cooking and learning to cook different things. I also enjoyed doing work experience because I was with my friend and the staff were really nice to me and helped me when I wanted to know how to do things
It was very well organised, I was always kept busy and there was time for me to have a break and lunch. The work they gave me also revolved around the different things that the place had on . The staff all knew what I was to be doing and I knew what I needed to be doing
I learnt a lot about what that company was about because the staff came across in that way. I learnt that the company is about giving young people opportunities that they might not get elsewhere and I felt that by working there I was helping with this. It was good.
It helped me because I enjoyed pricing things in the shop so I am know considering doing things to do with finance In the future. I cannot see myself doing anything to do with food or cooking so I am very unlikely to to take a career path towards that
I wasn’t paid, in the previous question it asked me how much I was paid but I just made it up because I wasn’t payed. I was told that if I ever came back then I may get payed if I took it as a weekend job for example
Yes there was. I met lots of different employees and I have seen some of them since. They were all really nice. Because I was with a friend that I previously knew, I felt more confident with talking to other people that I had not met before. It was really good.
Yes
It is really fun and there are lots of good benefits to doing it. Some of these benefits include boosting confidence, learning new skills and also its good to have something like that on your cv. It was also really good to meet new people as try new things. It helped me to focus on a new career path
Just go for it. Mae the most of it and take every opportunity given to you. If you are given the opportunity to bake cakes, do it. And then you’ll know how to do it for the future and you will come across as a hard worker too. It’s great.
