  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is part of food manufacturing. This role involves a knowledge of food production and packing, but also all the technical details about the food packing machines. The quality knowledge is very important on this job role, and I have a huge responsibility, as I am part of the business which produce and deliver food.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes. My job role is about continuous learning and improving myself. I can develop my existing skills accumulated in the past. It is really exciting to be challenged in different situations during the production. As I am foreign in England, this job role gave me the possibility to improve my English as well.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed the program. It was a great opportunity to do something different, and to learn. Refreshing existing skills, and appropriate new skills. To have a new view of manufacturing business, with the possibility to use new technical tools. To understand how to measure all the production through the daily looses and learn all the details about input and output.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program is pretty good organised. The communication is good. We have continuous support from our trainer, and all the tools to get prepared for skill exams. W can be in touch all the time with trainer, via e-mail. The structure of the program is well planed. The learning materials are logical and easy to appropriate.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer gave all the support for this program. For first we had the opportunity to take part on this program. The communication about all the details was well organised. The training team, from Premier Foods was really involved. Our team leaders look after extra time, off from working area to allow us some practice time for exams and projects.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider was excellent. We had all the support we need from. We been in touch with our trainer continuous. Received all the help we needed to prepare for skill exams and projects. The training system is working good, looking after every learner in part, taking in consideration everyone learning level and difficulty.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification through my training provider open new opportunities, and gave me a new view about my job role. Offered me a completely new view about the hole manufacturing business. A different, and more deep understanding of the whole production, and any production business. After this experiment definitely I will treat any problem in a different way from I did before.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Unfortunately not. This is in some way my fault, as my company organising very regular social activities, charity events, sport events for the company workers. The professional networking events are missing from our organisation life. All we had i this domain are the professional focus meetings, but they are strictly part of the job role.

  • Yes

  • Premier Foods is a company which offer stability. On the Ashford Market is one of the companies offering the best conditions, and weigh. It is a future company, as is on the market for few decades. It is a company which always looking for new market to extend, to make stability for the people working there.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Premier Foods?
  • To have a perfect understanding of food hygiene, and safety. To make sure that mind about the fact that not only will work for a company, but he is responsible for our costumer`s life. To be ready for flexibility and willing to learn new things. To be devoted and opened for new skills.
