  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • The environment was really good as it was very friendly and family like.I also believe that DPD give a very detailed but in simple terms training which is very encouraging and helpful for people who work there for most of their life. My main purpose was to do unloading and loading of big parcels so you must be physically and mentally fit because it is very tiring and can be extremely difficult.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by DPD?
  • I feel very valued as they treated us with lots of respect and they did not lie to make their company look amazing but in reality told us the truth in terms of hard work. • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was absolutely perfect as it was well thought of in terms of making us explore each part of their work and personally revealing our personal opinions without hurting someone’s intention.I believe there were certain parts which they could of developed in terms of schedule of timing as it was less which meant the time was tight.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • There was lots of support as the professional first demonstrated the work with a full explanation on health & safety which was very important. Then we had the opportunity to try it by ourselves with full caution which was very helpful as we are experiencing it but they were providing their support at each stage. I personally feel that the training and discussions they scheduled were helpful as each topic had a purpose for the real work.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The employer was very supportive as they had planned a Q&A session where we could ask anything in terms of the work and they were so well organised as they had an answer to each question. They were so polite and welcoming in terms of respecting us and providing refreshments and snacks throughout the session. The employer was asking if everyone was okay and comfortable working personally .

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes because if you go through the training session you are ready to work in that field. In terms of opportunity you are blessed as your references for other jobs are very important and demanding as they are a part of your identity and image they make before the interview.
