  • I work as an apprentice software engineer. Day to day work includes designing software, implementing software, testing software, solving problems and coming up with new ideas and approaches to software development.

  • I have learned lots of programming skills, as well as learning how to program in a range of different programming lanauges.

  • I thoroughly enjoy my programme. There is lots of support available and you well looked after.

  • I feel valued by BAE Systems. The company cares about you and cares about your future and does everything they can to help you reach your potential.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Pretty well structured. Weeks are structured with 2 days at university and 3 days at work. University days vary from year to year.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Lots of support is available at UCLAN at any time. Lecturers are helpful and are quick to respond to emails.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • BAE Systems provides maximum support at all times, both inside and outside of work. Everyone is caring and committed.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Salary is fantastic, can't really complain there!

  • There are many opportunities outside of work. This includes the likes of Outward Bound and many more activities which are advertised throughout apprentice resources.

  • Yes
