I am a trainee technical operations specialist at Fujitsu UK. My daily tasks involve monitoring VME systems along with providing first line support to some of the UK's big brand names.
Currently I am increasing my skills by attending a college course once a week along with undertaking alot of internal courses within Fujitsu. With these skills I am gaining are helping me greatly within my new role.
I really am enjoying working in such a large company such as Fujitsu, its giving me opportunities to travel when I am just through the door. I work with a great team of people which helps make the job more enjoyable.
Since starting I have already recieved £100 of vouchers as recognition by receiving two Big Thank You awards within the company.
Everything for me I find has went fairly smoothly especially in the job side of it. The college part is slow at times although it is all relevant.
I receive as much training support as I require across work and college, especially with college I have an assigned tutor which I meet with on a monthly basis.
My employer provides a great amount of support throughout especially management and my shift leader but others involved as well such as the HR team made the joining process easy and efficient.
As an apprentice I can say for now compared to a lot of other apprentices the salary is quite good although there is definitely opportunities to climb the ladder within Fujitsu.
There is some activities outside of work which I can get involved in but there is more opportunities out of other offices.
Yes
Yes it's a great company full of perks and opportunities.
