  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to part of the commissions team with our Derivative operations. I work with Sales and the trading floor to fix any commission errors which pop up throughout the day

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I'm being entered in for the IOC, which is an external, universally recognized qualification within the industry. For this we have external training course once a month, as well as our own self study days once a month. This has given me a much better overall understanding of the financial world outside of my own team.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme. Some days are long, there's lot's of work however I am learning a huge amount every day.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by UBS?
  • I get plenty o recognition from my line manager and people I interact with. I also feel like I am no longer a complete burden to my team and am useful to have.

  • Very

  • 1 session a month plus hundreds of online questions and in depth video recordings of lectures. Lots of information

  • 1 study day a month and one study day the day before the exam.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Well, however I do cycle in and still live at home which helps a great deal. I wouldn't want to think about moving out on my salary.

  • Christmas parties, 7 a side work football, gym, 2 days a year to volunteer.

  • Be open, and try to come across as someone who is willing to challenge and ask questions
