My main duties were stocking the shelves, I also had to do routine stock take if my supervisor was not working. I had to check if the deliveries we received were right and if we didn’t get the right deliveries I had to report to the manager. My other duties were helping customers with their needs or any problems they have. I also had to cut carpets and table covers for customers, I also had to sell carpets for customers. I also had to tidy up the stock room to make room for new deliveries.
I learnt how to deal with people who are very rude and angry towards me for simple of reasons. I have also gained so much respect for retail workers because customers treat them with no respect at all
I did enjoy it at the beginning but I wish I did something else. the work is really hard and you are given certain time to finish your aisle or otherwise the managers start shouting at you
I don't feel that valued, some duty managers do say nice words which helps me to work faster and harder apart from that nobody really acknowledges each other
Is quite organised I guess, the induction was 2 hours long and I was given a leaflet to learn from. I also was given formal training which was an 1 hour long.
I was not given any
I did get a lot of support at the beginning but now I have just been left alone to do my work
Is a nightmare I only get paid for travel money and lunch money. Personally is not that much.
Not really You can only climb up the ladder if you know the right people or otherwise you will be bottom of the ladder sadly
Yes
Because It is really hard and you don't get any rewards for putting on so much hard work. At the end it is not really worth it in my opinion.
Apply for somewhere else. Only apply for tesco if you have no other choice. The interview was all right they only wanted to see if you are willing to work and they said i will fit right in
