  • Part on the National Enforcement Team overseeing Driver and Vehicle Safety across the UK

  • Yes, new software usage and presentation skills. Time management has improved along with report writing.

  • I enjoy the program and I am pleased to have had the opportunity to participate.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program with the Civil Service is well structured and supportive, however the Learning and Training Partner seems at times unprofessional and not able to deal with the volume of Apprentices

  • The assessor herself is very supportive but I believe her caseload is too much to be effective.

  • I have a very supportive team around me and I am lucky to have such a positive line manager.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • It is ok, as an older apprentice I have more commitments than usual aged apprentices and maybe consideration should be given to this.

  • Not that is visible at present. I have children and home commitments which means I have little personal time.

  • Yes

  • Because I enjoy it and it feels secure


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Civil Service?
  • Go for it. It's a massive learning experience and opens your eyes to how it all works and the opportunities that await you.
