I enjoy learning new things on a daily basis. There is always opportunity to develop new skills and gain more and more knowledge. Team work is a strong aspect of work. It is a very enjoyable place to be.
I feel like I am valued by the people I work with. I have been tasked with many jobs and trusted to carry out these tasks to a high standard. I have been invited to events such as the Innovation challenge.
In all honesty the programme is changing year by year, I feel this creates some conflict within the structure of the apprenticeship. For example when we started we were told we would be at college for one year however ended up being there for 3 years (2 years on a day release basis), and repeated the same level qualification for no real gain.
My training provider helps support me through most aspects of the apprenticeship and is always there if I have any queries regarding my studies or problems within the workplace.
My employer has a positive approach to supporting me and my training/learning. They offer a multitude of different ways to help support my apprenticeship.
The salary package i received at the start of the apprenticeship made it slightly difficult to cover all costs but was manageable. As the salary increases over the apprenticeship this changes and costs are covered very easily.
Yes, I have been to multiple company events to either help out and take part. The latest one I went to was the Innovation challenge at the Castle Bromwich plant.
