3 days at college, 2 days at work in second year. completing a foundation degree at college, to then go onto a degree at Warwick. At work I help develop Drive line systems
I have completed several training courses, such as Driving courses and a flexray training course. At college I have been studying towards a foundation degree
The college course is less enjoyable than when at work. The tasks I am given at work are enjoyable and are interesting. I am currently nearing completion of a project which has been difficult but rewarding
I have been given my own project which will have an impact on the business. I am also involved in other tasks which relate to the job role. Some of the work I completed was displayed to others in the business
The college side of the programme lacks structure and organisation. Some of this is due to the introduction of a new programme. Whilst at work however the department has made a clear effort to ensure that there is a structure in place.
Some members of the college are happy to provide support however on occasion very little happens. Other members of the college seemed to be unwilling to help at times. The college part of the course has resulted in the most issues so far
Whilst at work my colleagues are willing to provide support when needed. Guidance is always given, and my manager offers advice and support when asked.
The salary given is good as it covers all of my costs and is allowing me to save up some money. Being part of the business also has several perks, such as a discount on Fords.
The company runs a scheme which provides each employee with a voucher that can be used to pay for a wide range of activities outside of work, for example I used my last allowance for an off-road driving experience.
