Learn key skills in different sections of the training centre. This includes fitting, electrical, electronics, Turning, milling, and design work on CAD.
Developed practical working skills. Gained new knowledge from completing activities never attempted before. I have gained completing FE work.
I really enjoy the program. The work completed on all the different sections is enjoyable, and the instructors and other apprentices are good to work with.
BAE systems clearly values the employees. Apprentices are provided with great training facilities and instructors to help train them for their future.
The program is very well structures and organised. There is a clear timetable of all of the work and sections you will complete throughout the year.
I receive lots of support from the training provider. This included FE and practical work. Help and guidance is always available from management and the training team.
I receive lots of support from my employer. This is shown by all of the facilities, equipment and people which are there to help us through the apprenticeship.
My salary meets my living costs, and allows me to also save money and buy extra things. I am also paid expenses to cover the cost of living away from home.
There are many opportunities outside of work to take part in. This includes company activities. One example is outward bound activity course.
Yes
I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship with BAE systems to a friend. This is because you will get good training, a great job at the end of it and are paid well for the work.
The best advice for others applying to BAE systems would be to make the application form as good as possible, because they receive lots of applications. Also be confident and know lots of information about the company for an interview.
