My role within Jaguar Land Rover is working in the Body Engineering specifically CAD. On a day to day basis I am attending college to grow my CAD skills along with maths, business and other workshop classes such as milling and weilding.
I have learnt many new skills such as how to strip and rebuild and engine, how to use CAD software through solid works, understood business improvement techniques. I have also developed my skills in team working and presenting.
I enjoy the programme a lot, especially when working alongside skilled engineering in the field. This is one of the best experiences of my life and look forward to the rest of my career.
I feel very valued within Jaguar Land Rover because when talking to senior mangers and engineers we have been explained what goals we will be fulfilling in the future to help develop the company.
The organisation with the organisation is very good. If any problem does ever occur then it is sorted out quickly and even improved, for example when we had difficulty adjusting in a room we were moved and it was noted to be too small.
The support received is the perfect amount. Any support that is required is always there even when we are left to complete any work that support is not required. The tutors are always offering good guidance and asking is we have any problems.
When with Jaguar Land Rover the managers show great concern about how we are getting on I college and in plant and always give support when it is required. They show a great amount of respect to us along with being understanding.
The salary meets all costs such as living costs and travel costs. We are able to come into work without having the worry of running short of money towards petrol or rent.
ELS is a great example of an opportunity that we were told about to get experience in anything we wanted that was not related to Jaguar Land Rover. We also get great discounts to many places and the plant I work at has its own gym.
Yes
Its a great place to work with many perks. We also receive the top quality education at prestigious places such as Warwick University. Its also a great opportunity to working in a fast pace environment that is greatly rewarding.
The behaviour set is one of the most important factor during interviews and assessment days. Being well dressed and having good communication skills and team working skill are highly valued.
