Investigation Review

I am an investigator. Day to Day I carry out investigations, policy reviews, audits from a counter fraud perspective, client meetings, suspect interviews, deliver counter fraud training/awareness sessions.

I am studying for the AAT, this takes a year and a half to two years. I will then move on to complete either the CIIA or ACCA. I have carried out some counter fraud training and I am an Accredited Counter Fraud Technician. There is lots of opportunity for all sorts of training.

There is a very good company culture at Mazars, I work within a large team that are very geographically spread out but there is always an opportunity to socialise with colleagues.

There is a Code of Conduct Recognition Scheme for those who go above and beyond in their work. I was fortunate to win this; it involved a formal meal on top of Tower Bridge Walkways and we were also rewarded with a number of John Lewis vouchers.

The programme is well organised and roles and responsibilities are clear. There are timelines for progression and with managers assistance they are met more often than not. Mazars provide an appraiser and a buddy to aide in your development.

I still live at home so pay a reduced rent, I travel into work from South London every day, I tend to buy lunches in London I am paying into my pension. I still have enough disposable income to save some away every month, go on three holidays abroad a year and go out on weekends/

There are a number of CSR events a year. In July I will be undertaking the 3 Peaks Challenge with work. I also play Sunday league football for Mazars FC. In my department there is an annual golf tournament and lot more.
