This is a chance to develop in-depth knowledge of our financial systems, at a time when our industry is going through an incredible – and unparalleled – transformation. Here, you’ll get a unique insight into the way one of the UK’s biggest businesses functions, as well as how we adapt to rapid, large-scale changes.
What you'll be doing
You’ll get exposure to different teams across the business as you work on a combination of big budget transformation programmes and fast-moving, agile delivery projects. These could include anything from working with Developers and Analysts in our App Squad to deliver applications for our colleagues’ smart devices, to developing new systems that allow us to identify and prevent network failures. It’s fast-paced and consistently challenging work – but it’s also hugely rewarding.
We encourage all of our Digital Apprentices to gain on-site experience with our ops teams to equip you with an in-depth understanding of their challenges and requirements, as well as the complexities of our business. For creative and ambitious Digital Apprentices, the opportunities for career progression are limitless. We will give you all the training and support you need to achieve your professional ambitions.

A two-week induction designed to introduce you to our business, show you how we work and help you get the best possible start to your career.
An Apprentice buddy
Someone to share your experiences with and support you in achieving your ambitions.
Regular performance reviews with your manager
Bi-annual reviews to help you outline clearly-defined goals and measure how you’re developing against them.
Training and Development
This is a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship programme.
Your rotation placements on the scheme focus on developing the key skills and experience that you’ll require to be a key member of the Information Systems teams here.
Either through working in service delivery teams, app development and support teams or key projects. You’ll combine on-the-job learning with formal, nationally recognised development training modules, which includes a tailored two-week induction. You’ll also be given a Personal Development Plan, to help you drive and own your career progression. This will be set and agreed with your line manager and reviewed regularly to inform your bi-annual performance reviews. Your course will be delivered by our learning provider BBP University
