And, finally there’s our name. Uniper UK is recognised around the world as one of the largest power and energy companies in the world. This will enable you to gain rounded experience that could open up career opportunities including support for further education – even a degree! And, you’ll be well on your way to becoming an Electrical Engineer with real work experience behind you – even better you won’t have built up any debt.
Get qualifications and experience – and get paid! Your starting salary will be £12,447 but this will increase every 12 months subject to satisfactory performance, so in the fourth year, you could be earning over £20,000.
What do we look for?
We look for capable individuals who have a combination of academic achievements as well as an interest in engineering. So, if you’ve always been fascinated by how all things mechanical and electrical work, and you love taking them apart and putting them back together again, this apprenticeship could be perfect for you. It’s not about sitting in front of a computer screen. It’s about seeing how things work on the ground.
If you have such a passion – and you have at least five A*-C Grades at GCSE in English, Math’s, Science and Technology (or equivalents) – we’d love to hear from you.
