Junior Accounting Associate Apprenticeship - Level 3

Start date: ASAP

The company is seeking an AAT trainee to join the Statutory Compliance team. The ideal candidate will assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and other statutory compliance areas for our clients. The role will include a small bookkeeping portfolio to ensure a rounded training is given.


  • Preparing the year end accounts for the portfolio of clients including UK companies, partnerships, LLPs and sole traders.
  • Maintaining company secretarial records and filing confirmation statements. Ad-hoc company secretarial duties as required e.g. share transfers and issues, dividend vouchers, preparation of Board minutes.
  • Processing all books of prime entry, preparation of VAT returns and preparing accounts to trial balance stage.

Required Skills and Experience

  • AAT studier – level 3 or above
  • Educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent); Minimum of 5 GCSE's grades A-C (or equivalent>, including Maths and English
  • Committed to further study towards an AAT & ACCA qualification
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice ideal but not essential
  • Computer literate with experience in using Microsoft Office
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Self motivated, dependable and reliable
  • Music / media background/interest, desirable
