You will receive on-the-job training to help you carry out the same duties as a permanent employee. In addition, you will work towards industry-recognised qualifications for which you will be given time away from your daily duties to complete the learning.

The Operational Delivery Profession Apprenticeship Scheme provides a great opportunity to earn whilst you develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to make a positive difference to people's lives.
We are looking for a large number of Apprentices to join the Operational Delivery Profession and play a part in the vital job of keeping the country running and making a real difference to people’s lives.
This role gives you an opportunity to:
- Gain nationally recognised Operational Delivery qualifications
- Prepare yourself for a range of roles across the Home Office or other Government departments
- Be in a position to positively affect some of the challenges facing our country today
You could be working any of the Home Office’s business areas including: Border Force, Her Majesty’s Passport Office, Immigration Enforcement and UK Visa and Immigration.
These jobs are eighteen month fixed term appointments with the possibility of another contract at the end of the 18 months if you pass the Apprenticeship.
The hours will vary depending on the location and business area in which you complete your Apprenticeship. You may be required to work various shift patterns which can include evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays that fall within your working pattern. We are looking for full-time staff to work 37 hours per week.
You will need to apply and complete two online tests by 23:59 on 23rd January. If successful we expect you would start in April.
Salary: £18,000 per annum
