Every day, EY helps businesses around the world to make smarter choices and find the right formula for their success. We’re equally passionate about helping people find their own way to the kind of career that’s best for them. As a successful global business that’s respected by many of the world’s leading multinational companies, we can do just that – and open plenty of doors along the way.

FSO Tax School Leaver Programme

Going to university isn’t the only route available to you after School. You can kick start your career in business by joining the EY School Leaver programme this September. By joining our global organisation on a School Leaver programme, you’ll learn a range of skills used in business every day and benefit from a 5 year structured training programme. We’ll support you along the way and also give you the chance to study for a professional qualification which is globally recognised. This means, even without a degree, you can still go far in your business career - you’ll just be doing it in a way that suits you.

As a school leaver, you can choose to kick-start your career in tax by focusing on either Direct Tax, Human Capital, Indirect Tax or Transfer Pricing. Depending on which office you join, you may also acquire more wide ranging tax skills.

The work is varied and each week is different. What you won’t be doing is sitting at a desk and counting numbers – you could be at a client meeting, helping with a VAT inspection or on a client conference call. And there are also lots of different technical areas to learn about and get involved in.

You’ll need to have intellectual rigour, an analytical mind and be able to think creatively. But we’re also looking for young people who will enjoy managing client relationships effectively and who have what it takes to become future business leaders.
