This is a Level 2 apprenticeship that will be full time over two years. On completion of the apprenticeship you will have satisfied the requirements for registration as a rail engineering operative by the relevant professional engineering institution. In addition, opportunities will be provided to continue training to a rail engineering technician (Level 3).
The programme is a mix of classroom, practical and on-the-job training. You'll learn the core skills needed to work safely on Crossrail as well as gaining the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified rail engineering operative.
