L3 Motor Finance Apprenticeship (18 months)

At BMW Group Financial Services, our teams are key to provding finance solutions for customers to purchase our premier products. The continued growth and success of our award-winning business means that we’re now looking to invest in developing our next generation of Motor Finance Specialists in two areas: our Digital Development Department and our Sales Administration Department. As a Motor Finance Specialist, your apprenticeship will provide a platform to build an exciting, long term career within a global premium brand. We’re looking for motivated and conscientious individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and have a strong desire to learn and progress.

Developed by motor retail and finance industry employers, the Motor Finance Specialist apprenticeship is an 18-month programme where you will receive on-the-job training and will work towards a Level 3 (equivalent to 2 A Levels) qualification. Upon completion, you’ll be fully qualified to carry out the role of a regular employee, specialising in the provision of motor finance information and support to customers or intermediaries.

For the Digital role, you will be supporting the team to develop and shape future digital systems, liaising with counterparts in the sales company, conducting stakeholder meetings, managing communications to the retailer network on digital activity, monitoring competitor activity and market developments, working with development teams to test new functionality, conducting data analysis and you will be responsible for digital support materials, guides and videos.

For the Sales Admin role, you will be using our system to set up campaigns/products and regular tactical pricing changes, responding to queries and general admin support to Sales Support and Sales Analysts, running regular and ad-hoc reports and carrying out data analysis, assisting in process and control documentation, and general preparation of comms.

The skills required for both roles are:

  • Ability to communicate across teams and hierarchies.
  • Competence and confidence in working with IT Systems
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft packages (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

You will need to be enthusiastic and well-disciplined as our apprenticeship programme is heavily focused on attitude and behaviour. In addition, you need to exhibit initiative, be reliable and conscientious. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to think logically and to work both independently and as part of a team.

Rate of Pay:

A competitive salary enhanced annually depending on individual progress and performance starting at circa £13,500 per annum rising to £17,500 at the end of the programme.

Working Hours:

37.5 hour working week, start and finish times will vary according to work-based placements and college hours.


A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at level 5/C (or above) including Maths and English

That’s why in addition to the qualifications we require from you, we’ll also look for you to have a range of skills, attributes and behaviours. These include: team working, as well as the ability to work without close supervision, quality focus, good communication skills, showing enthusiasm and initiative, and responsibility and accountability for your work.

Assessment centres for apprentices will take place on 8 and 9 June 2021.
