Service Engineer Level 3 Apprenticeship - Birmingham

During the initial stages of your training as an Apprentice Service Engineer you will learn the fundamentals of rail plant engineering through a series of supervised plant maintenance tasks including; carrying out repairs, maintenance, and diagnosing faults on specialised plant equipment.

You will also learn and understand the importance of health and safety requirements impacting our industry, your role, and those around you in the workplace.

Training to be provided

The scheme is a block release apprenticeship that will last 3 years in total, and you will work towards achieving an NVQ level 3 in Construction Plant Engineering.

You will attend 9 weeks in college per year delivered in 3 x 3-week blocks, during your course you will be trained by specialist staff in fully equipped workshops to ensure that you gain the technical knowledge required for a successful career in modern plant engineering.

Future prospects

Following successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be able to develop your career further at TXM Plant, including the option to move into a full time permanent service engineering role. 

Things to consider

This vacancy will require occasional business travel and residential stays at our training provider.
