About the role:

We are looking for Data analyst apprentices who will support the business team in completing ad hoc data requests and analyses as needed, develop reporting using Tableau and Quicksight for repetitive data tasks where data pipelines/queries are already in place (concessions, CS metrics, operations), automation of manual processes and undertaking deep dive on metrics to help the business team understand metric changes, utilizing trend analysis.

As a Data Analyst Apprentice at Amazon, you’ll gain a vast range of useful experiences and skills. You will work towards the Data Analyst L4 apprenticeship standard

You will build your skills over a 24 month fixed term contract starting in May, working with Analytics team and supporting the data driven decision making of our business from our London office. You would be working closely with multiple business functions that as operations which will help you develop personally and professionally across the 2 years. You will attend sessions to cover four main areas;

  • Classroom based training to cover knowledge,
  • On-the-job training,
  • Online learning,
  • Mentoring from our People Experience team members.

Alongside extensive development of your technical skills, you will also grow your abilities in crucial complementary areas like organization, prioritization, data analysis and problem solving techniques, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.

What we are looking for

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a keen interest and passion for sales. More specifically, if you display the following attributes, we would encourage you to apply for this fantastic opportunity:

Candidates should be 18 years or over and have the right to live and work in England. You have a good fundamental understanding of Excel, gained through self study or formal experience or training up to level 3. You have the ability to think creatively and apply analytical and problem solving skills, driving issues to resolution.

Academic qualifications

  • 3 A levels or equivalent
  • GCSE grade C/4 and above in Maths and English or equivalent

Note: This Apprenticeship assumes the candidate has some professional experience within sales related roles and is NOT suitable for candidates who already have a degree in sales or related subjects.

Preferred Qualifications / skills

These will be a plus for your career at Amazon, but are not necessary to enter the program.

  • You are able to operate in a challenging and fast paced environment,
  • You are able to demonstrate drive and a passion for learning,
  • Have an additional language
