Civil Engineering Manchester Highways - Degree Apprenticeship
As a civil engineering apprentice in our Highways team, you will assist in the development of highways designs, drawing production, geometrical modelling and BIM. You will work as part of a design team learning design principles and standards and the use of appropriate software, helping to deliver quality projects for our clients. Where practical, you’ll get the opportunity to visit site and see the projects you're working on, coming to life.
Training to be provided
You will attend Liverpool John Moores University to study a Civil Engineering degree apprenticeship and gain a BEng, as well as your Incorporated Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers. You will also be enrolled onto a bespoke internal development programme to support you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviour that will help you successfully achieve your apprenticeship.

GCSE or equivalent 5 GCSEs including english, maths, science (Grade Level 5 or above (6 in maths)) Essential,A Level or equivalent 3 A Levels, to include either maths and physics (Grade BBC or above) Desired,BTEC or equivalent Ext L3 Civil Engineering including further maths (Grade DDM or above) Desired
As this is a permanent position, after gaining your degree, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us. You will have the opportunity to gain Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers, as well as the chance to study towards a Masters degree.
