Engineer Degree Apprenticeship
An immersive engineering degree for the next generation.
The Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology is unlike any other higher education institution. It’s for those with a passion for solving problems and a fascination for how things work; people who’d rather get hands-on with real engineering challenges.
As an Undergraduate Engineers, you’ll study for a BEng (Hons) Engineering degree apprenticeship, whilst working on live projects alongside the Dyson Technology Global Engineering team from day one.
With a competitive salary and no tuition fees to pay, you could graduate debt-free.
In the first two years you’ll study a rigorous and challenging general engineering degree syllabus two days a week, giving you a strong technical foundation across:
- mechanical engineering
- electronics and electrical engineering
- electromechanical engineering
- software engineering
You’ll also learn about engineering through hands-on experience and work alongside a team of Dyson Technology experts three days of the week.
For your final two years, you'll have the opportunity to choose your preferred specialism to study and in the workplace. We'll work with you and Dyson Technology to place you in a team depending on your preferences, skills and the business need.
With Dyson’s expertise across motors, fluid dynamics, separation systems, energy storage, robotics, software and hair science, you’ll have the chance to work within a number of technical disciplines. During the programme you may also get the opportunity to work in our Bristol software hub, and our technology and design centres in Singapore and Malaysia.
For the work-based element of the programme you will work to the Level 6 Product Design and Development Engineer apprenticeship standard.
