Financial Services Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship

Key responsibilities and accountabilities are:

  • Providing guidance and updates to clients and professional parties
  • Building and strengthening relationships with existing clients
  • Liaising with clients in order to obtain basic fact finding information
  • Submission of Mortgage and Life cases to the providers
  • Liaising with clients to ensure all documentation is requested correctly first time, managing expectations and submitting said documents to the lender
  • Reviewing documents received and checking they are compliant
  • Organisation skills to ensure that a number of cases are managed with the upmost of accuracy
  • Support the organisation in implementing our core values
  • Ensure that all mortgage cases are dealt with in accordance with lenders policy
  • Flexible and adaptable to ensure deadlines are met and happy with working using your own initiative and unsupervised
  • Ability to prioritise workload in order of importance
  • Compliance understanding in order to ensure mortgages are logged compliantly and suitability letters created

Training to be provided

Financial services administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • This is an 18 months programme in total, incorporating 15 months on programme learning and 3 months for End Point Assessment
  • During the on programme learning the learner’s skills will be reviewed using the SGA review which looks at Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours, this is completed as a reflective discussion which the learner will review and complete with the aid of their trainer
  • A mandatory requirement of this apprenticeship is that the apprentice must complete module one, ‘UK Financial Regulation’ (UKFR), of the ‘Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice’
  • (London Institute of Banking and Finance)
  • All examinations need to be passed prior to being able to go through Gateway to complete the End Point Assessment. Once the learner passes through Gateway to complete the End Point Assessment the learner will complete a panel interview/viva and this will be a supported by their trainer with a portfolio of evidence and project

  • Must have good levels of maths and English at least Grade C/4 (or equivalent)

  • This is an entry-level role which provides the foundation knowledge skills & experience for progression into a number of career paths including, Adviser Support, Senior Administrator, Paraplanner
