About our Engineering Training Programme
Our Engineering Training Programme (ETP) provides a unique opportunity to become a member of the Cadent Team. Over the 24-month programme, you’ll develop leadership skills, gain technical exposure and understanding, and experience professional development, through a combination of theoretical learning and on the job experience.
You’ll study towards achieving a HNC in Mechanical Engineering over 18 weeks at Solihull college during the two years. Covering topics such as Engineering Design, Mechanical Principles and Managing an Engineering Project.
You’ll receive training from our expert trainers and be supported by a dedicated programme manager, business mentor and line manager. You will play a vital role in shaping the future role of gas and how we establish ourselves at the forefront of sustainable energy.
Our community of trainees provide the perfect support network, pulling from their personal experience they’ll provide guidance and assistance and you’ll inspire each other from the very start.
Once you’ve successfully completed the ETP programme, the role you move into will depend on which area of the business you work in. We’ll also support you in gaining your accreditation at this point too.
We’re looking for individuals from a STEM background who act with curiosity, courage, pride, purpose and ownership to join our team. Along with:
- Both GCSE English Language & GCSE Maths at Grade C and above / 4 - 9 (or equivalent)
- A-Levels or BTEC Level 3 in applicable STEM subjects
- Hold a valid UK driving licence
- High levels of personal and professional energy - you’ll have lots of drive and motivation too!
