Plumbing and Heating Level 2 Apprenticeship - Tiverton

You will work as part of a team, plumbing new homes from start to finish. Your skills will build over time and include:

  • Basic principles and processes 
  • Cold, hot water and central heating system installations
  • Above ground drainage and rainwater systems 
  • Copper tube and low carbon steel bending and the different methods of jointing
  • Plastic pressure pipe for hot, cold and central heating systems installation and jointing
  • Bathroom suite installation complete with all hot, cold and waste pipe work

Training to be provided

Apprenticeship level: Intermediate (Level 2) NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating.


Apprenticeship duration:  12-15 months.

Your time will be split between working with your employer on new housing developments and our training centre, Moor Training Ltd.

Training is carried out in block release.

Future prospects

Upon completion of the intermediate apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity of full time employment with Barkwells Plumbing and Heating.

Barkwell’s will then offer further training for example advanced apprenticeship in Domestic Plumbing and Heating, including fully Gas qualified.

A driving licence is advantageous - do you hold a current licence?
