An exciting opportunity in financial services to join the firm as an IT Support Technician Apprentice providing services, supporting and developing the Firm’s system as a whole. The systems are Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 based with Windows 10 workstations running Microsoft Office 2016. We are looking to offer apprenticeships in: Amersham, Cheltenham and London.

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Firm’s IT systems infrastructure as a whole whilst being a member of the IT Support Team.

Daily activities will involve:

  • Responding to IT related tickets whilst prioritising issues
  • Provide IT Support to the local office users
  • Escalating issues to the relevant teams
  • Mobile device management including setup and distribution
  • Setup of laptop hardware, peripherals and user troubleshooting
  • Document fixes and troubleshooting techniques and distribute this information to the IT support team to improve efficiencies
  • Participate in team meetings with all team members to discuss projects, issues and team performance
  • Assisting other members of the team with delivering hardware to other offices.
  • Management of the hardware inventory system

Professional qualifications

You will study for professional qualifications through The Chartered Institute for IT. The qualifications to be studied for are the Infrastructure Technician Level 3.

Full training and support will be provided by our experienced team and dedicated training and learning and development team. Our mentor scheme will provide day-to-day support and advice to guide you through every aspect of the role.

Entry requirements

You will need at least five GCSE’s Grade A* - C or Grade 4 and above including in Maths and English
