Machine Controller Level 2 Apprenticeship
There are three distinct areas within the MINI Plant, Body in White, Paint and Assembly; all areas have a broad spectrum of high level technology which works together to meet the quality and volume targets related to vehicle production. To ensure this works efficiently we need to train machine controllers to monitor, optimise and carry out maintenance in the technology related areas of our production system. Machine controllers have to ensure that technical production facilities are always working to optimum efficiency.
Training consist of the study of modern state of the art automotive production technology, as well as the latest innovations in manufacturing techniques. Our core engineering training covers electronics, pneumatics, electrical, plc’s, hydraulics, welding, milling, turning, basic hand skills as well as general mechatronics engineering.
This training takes place in our onsite apprentice training facility.
You will need to be enthusiastic and well-disciplined as our apprenticeship is heavily focused on attitude and behaviour. In addition, you need to exhibit initiative, be reliable and conscientious. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to think logically and to work both independently and as part of a team.
