Purpose Statement

Invesco is proud to be a part of the Investment 2020 initiative, and we are delighted to be able to offer a number of trainees a 12 month placement with us in Human Resources!

Working in an Investment Management firm is not all about managing funds. We have hardworking teams behind the scenes who are integral to the firm's success.

These are traineeships, so we are specifically looking for ambitious school leavers or graduates who are interested in a career in Finance and Accounting. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to play an active role and develop key skills which will stand you in good stead for securing a permanent position, either at Invesco or elsewhere in the asset management industry and beyond!

This year’s intake will commence with us at the end of September 2020.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support as required by HR to include all on-boarding administration (offers/probationary periods/making up files/inductions, data input), variations in contract and leavers’ administration, across numerous European countries
  • Respond to HR queries received via the group mailbox in a timely and professional manner
  • Actively participate as a team member in support of HR projects as required
  • Produce and analyse regular and ad hoc HR management information reports
  • Prepare references, change to Terms and Conditions and other ad hoc letters as required during the employee lifecycle
  • Process invoices from external partners for payment in a timely manner
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policy and processes, liaising with members across all areas of HR as required, to include those based overseas

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be highly proficient in the use of MS Office packages including Excel (Intermediate to Advanced), Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Have achieved good passes in Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent
  • Possess a discreet manner with the highest commitment to confidentiality
  • Have excellent attention to detail, whilst being organised and methodical in approach to tasks
  • Be confident, with strong customer focus skills
  • Have pride in the accuracy of work and the service level, output and reputation of the HR Department
  • Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, highly organised, with a flexible approach and ability to work on own initiative
