What you'll be doing
As a Chartered Manager in BT you’ll learn how to take responsibility for people, projects, operations and / or services to deliver long term organisational success. You’ll gain professional recognition of your ability to deliver impact, behave ethically and demonstrate your commitment to continual learning and development.
You’ll be trained to manage complexity and deliver impact at a strategic and / or operational level. You’ll take management and leadership responsibility for setting and delivering organisational objectives through a wide range of functions. The role will include all aspects of management and leadership skills, knowledge, self-awareness and behaviours.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills including strategic decision making, setting direction and achieving results, building and leading teams, clear communication, developing skills and motivating others, fostering inclusive and ethical cultures, leading change, project management, financial management, innovation, risk management and developing stakeholder relationships.
Training & Support
Throughout the course of your training you’ll gain a wealth of invaluable experience. You’ll also be taught job specific skills such as operational strategy, project management, business finance, sales and marketing, digital business and new business, how to effectively lead and manage people, personal effectiveness and project management.
To join our Chartered Manager Degree Level 6 programme you’ll need to achieve (or be on course to achieve) three A-Levels with a minimum of BCC grades. You’ll also need to have a minimum of five GCSEs at grades 4 – 9 (GCSE C or above) including English and Maths. You’ll need to achieve these grades by September 2020.
