Digital Technology Solutions (Business Analyst) Degree Apprentice

What you'll be doing

Business Analysts are responsible for assessing the business impact of change, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders.

Working in one of our customer-facing units you’ll be trained to take responsibility for providing technology-enabled solutions to internal and / or external customers in a range of areas including business and systems analysis and data analysis.

You’ll be taught how to create a detailed analysis of systems and make recommendations for improvement by producing specifications of user requirements that enable software engineers to develop the right software solutions.

Training & Support

Throughout the course of your apprenticeship you’ll gain a wealth of invaluable experience. You’ll also be taught job specific skills including how to develop and apply modelling and analysis techniques to describe business problem scenarios, how to help select solutions using a range of industry standard analysis techniques and how to elicit and prioritise business requirements for a digital technology system using industry best practice methods.

You’ll develop the knowledge to create a clear, complete, unambiguous and testable requirements specification, including functional and non-functional, data, user interfaces and security requirements.

You’ll also learn how to evaluate selected models against business objectives and system requirements and how to use industry standard tools to facilitate the analysis, documentation and traceability of requirements.

Entry Requirements

To join our Apprentice Digital & Technology Solutions Level 6 – Business Analyst programme you’ll need to achieve (or be on course to achieve) three A-Levels with a minimum of AAB grades. You’ll also need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades 4-9 (C or above) including English and Maths.

We value different perspectives, skills and experiences. We’re creating an inclusive working culture where people from all backgrounds can succeed. That’s why we welcome applications from all parts of the community.
