Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship
Our eagle-eyed Data Analysts are constantly unravelling figures and coming up with ways to improve our business, culture and customers’ lives
Behind all of Virgin Media’s ground-breaking business strategies, there’s an analyst’s report – detailing statistics and predicting future trends that help us stay ahead of the game.
If you have a head for numbers and decoding Big Data, our Data Analyst Apprenticeship Scheme welcomes both women and men to raise the probability of having a successful career with one of the UK’s most free-thinking and fun-loving companies.
All our Apprenticeship Schemes are offered on permanent contracts. And, around 90% of apprentices stay on with us – while others will have gained transferable skills that are sought after elsewhere.
Let’s talk about what you’ll be doing…
We have an amazing opportunity to join our Data Analyst Apprenticeship Scheme. Virgin Media is a data rich organisation, meaning the freedom to explore and use data to provide insight that drives our commercial value and decision-making is practically unlimited!
Whether you’re identifying data trends and patterns or learning how to provide critical insights into all areas of Network and Business Planning, you’ll get heartfelt guidance from your scheme mentor and other workmates.
Working within either our Consumer or Technology & Innovation divisions, you’ll be putting together key reports that help us understand our network better and allow us to make best-informed decisions on future business strategies.
And, because data does it for you, we’ll get you to take initiative by offering creative improvements to existing reports while integrating the latest technology and working as part of a supportive team to help us do things better!
How are you going to get there?
Since you’ll be working in areas such as Consumer Data Intelligence and Network Capacity, knowledge of data science methods, processes and systems is a bonus but not essential – if you’re willing to learn!
With our help, you’ll be able to make sense of complex data and explain it in a way that’s easy to understand by people from different backgrounds. You’ll need excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills – as well as a few relevant qualifications, including an A level, or equivalent, in a STEM* based subject (preferably maths, statistics or economics but it’s not a deal breaker).
So, what can we do for you?
During the scheme, you’ll gain all the experience, understanding and exposure to our award-winning business practices you’ll need to forge a fantastic career at Virgin Media – while earning a decent salary with some amazing benefits along the way!
We are completely committed to nurturing an inclusive culture, which includes a long-term vision of achieving 50/50 gender parity by 2025. It’s super-important for us to reflect equality and diversity in our workforce, especially for STEM* based subjects – and that’s why we’re encouraging women as much as men to come and hone their technical skills with us.
We are looking for talented people who are passionate and determined to rise up through our ranks to a become senior Data Analysts – or as far as your understanding and enthusiasm is willing to take you.
Join Virgin Media… Come and be a part of something special!
(*STEM based subjects are those that fall under Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths disciplines)
