Join our Business Analysis team and help support millions of daily transactions across London.

Our Tech & Data teams focus on what’s behind the millions of daily transactions on London’s transport network. In this role you’ll be supporting our Business Analysis team and working on a variety of exciting projects, such as implementing new ticket machines, updating ticketing software to support faster top ups and contactless payments and implementing a single Asset Management system for London Underground, helping to make millions of pounds worth of savings.

What you’ll need:

  • 5 GCSE’s A*-C/ grade 4 or above (or equivalent) including maths and English language.
  • + 2 A levels A*-D or equivalent
  • To be 18 years old by 2 September 2019

What will I be doing?

In this role you’ll work on a variety of exciting projects such as:

  • Implementing new ticket machines
  • Supporting faster contactless payments
  • Introducing a single Asset Management system for London Underground

Projects like these will help us make millions of pounds worth of savings.

You’ll enjoy three rotations – all designed to maximise your talent and equip you with the skills and experience to launch an outstanding career. It’s likely these will be, Product Management, SAP Development and Business Analysis teams.

You’ll learn practical skills such as how to gather project requirements and map processes, product development, sponsorship delivery, conducting software development, data modelling and user acceptance testing.

You’ll grow your soft skills with a particular focus on stakeholder engagement and identifying customer needs.

Where can this career take me?

When you finish, you can look forward to a role in business or product analysis or cyber security.Five years after that, team lead, product manager and data scientist roles should be firmly on your radar. And following that, the world’s your oyster whether it is in the T&D department or using your skills in the wider TfL organisation.

What training and support will you get?

You will be working towards a Level 4 BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, as well as other relevant courses, ranging from soft skills to technical skills training.

Whilst on the scheme, we’ll support your technical development through a wide range of on-the-job practical experiences and placements. We’ll also support your professional development through a combination of classroom-led training courses, online training courses, mentoring opportunities and structured networking opportunities . You will receive one-to-one support throughout the programme from your scheme sponsor, your Placement Manager and your Line Manager. You’ll also be connected to a ‘buddy’ who will be a more experienced apprentice from the scheme.
