Rolls-Royce Motor Cars - Leather Level 3 Apprenticeship

It takes incredible craftsmanship to deliver Rolls-Royce quality. Training in our Leather Shop will give you the complete set of leatherwork skills from inspection, preparation and cutting to sewing, covering and assembly work.

Your Career Development:

As a Rolls-Royce Leather Shop Apprentice you will be attending college on a part time basis.

With hard work and commitment, you will achieve qualifications in Modern Manufacturing over three years together with accompanying technical qualifications in Leather. You will learn skills to start a successful career within the Leather Shop including inspection, preparation, cutting, covering, sewing, upholstery and assembly work.

Working Hours:

40 hour working week. Apprentice start and finish times at Goodwood are 06:00 – 14:30 but may vary slightly according to work based placements. College times varying according to the timetable.

Please be aware that we complete rolling recruitment. As such, those candidates that have made an early application and have successfully moved through the recruitment process will be invited to the first assessment centre.

The Assessment Centres will be taking place on either Wednesday 27th February 2019 or during the week commencing Monday 29th April 2019.

Qualifications and experience

As part of your application you will need to upload a copy of your most recent school report* and a CV. If you don’t have a school report then please upload a CV and an employer reference. If you don’t have an employer reference then please upload a CV and a personal statement.

*If you are currently studying you must upload a school/college report. Failure to attach the above will mean we will be unable to progress with your application

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade 4 (or above) or grade C (or above) in the old GCSE grading structure, including Maths and English (textiles a possible advantage)
  • Good problem solving and manual skills.
  • An eye for detail
  • Team spirited, you’re someone who can focus on the job at hand even when the pressure’s on
  • An interest and passion for cars
  • You will need to have good communication skills, the ability to think logically and to work independently or as part of these teams.
  • Studying towards a textiles qualification would be an advantage
