ParcelForce Operations Degree Apprenticeship

Join Our Operations Degree Apprenticeship!

  • Location: Various Parcelforce Depots Across the UK – North West, Midlands, London
  • Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Qualification: Degree in Management and Business (BA, BSc, or BBA)
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Salary: £24,082

Working Hours:

As an Operations Degree Apprentice, you'll work different shifts to experience our 24/7 operations. This includes early, late, and night shifts, as well as some weekends. You'll get plenty of notice for your shift schedules. A full UK driving licence is required as you'll travel to multiple sites.

Shift Patterns:

  • Early shifts (starting around 6am)
  • Late shifts (finishing as late as 10pm)
  • Night shifts (5pm – 4am)

About the Apprenticeship:

Over three years, you'll rotate through different depots, hubs, and commercial teams, learning about our parcel journey. You'll gain skills in:

  • Logistics & Supply Chain Operations: Understand our parcel delivery network.
  • Operational Management: Manage teams, KPIs, and shift planning.
  • Commercial & Financial Acumen: Learn about budgeting and profitability.
  • Customer Service & Client Relationships: Handle complaints and improve service.
  • Leadership & People Management: Develop communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Adopt new technology and improve processes.
  • Sustainability & Environmental Practices: Learn about reducing our carbon footprint.

About You:

You should have:

  • Clear Communication: Confidently interact with team members, managers, and customers.
  • Analytical Skills: Assess issues, understand data, and recommend improvements.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively across various departments.
  • Time Management: Balance multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Leadership Potential: Inspire and manage small teams or projects.
  • Attention to Detail: Follow processes accurately and ensure compliance.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Customer Focus: Deliver excellent service and proactively resolve issues.
  • Numeracy & Data Skills: Confidently work with numbers and data tools.
  • IT Literacy: Comfortable using email, online systems, and operational software.

Requirements:

  • Five GCSEs (grade C/4 or higher) and three A-Levels (grade B or above)
