Your time will be spent on exciting and varied projects, led by highly skilled and professionally qualified staff, to give you a broad understanding and grounding in our business in preparation for your future career.
Technical Apprentice (Civil Engineer or Quantity Surveyor)
Our flagship programme for Civil Engineering and Quantity Surveying apprentices is available to those who have achieved GCSEs (or equivalent) in Math at grades A* to B, and English and Science at grades A* to C, with recruitment opening on 1st May each year ready for an October start.
During your time on the BAM Nuttall bespoke technical apprenticeship programme you will achieve a Higher Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying. On completion of your Higher Apprenticeship Qualification you will have the opportunity to gain technical membership through a professional body to gain technician engineer (EngTech) status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or technical (TCInstCES) status with the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineers Surveyors (ICES)
We are looking to recruit a diverse group of people who are enthusiastic and motivated to developing their careers within Civil Engineering working alongside Civil Engineers or Quantity Surveyors.
During your time on the apprenticeship programme you will be supported by the Early Careers team in gaining hands on experience on one of BAM Nuttall exciting projects whilst also gaining industry recognised qualifications as part of your development. The BAM Nuttall technical apprenticeship programme is well established, we are passionate about giving people the opportunity to join the business at entry level and helping them to develop a rewarding career within the Civil Engineering Industry. Due to the nature of the Industry apprentices may be required to work away from home during the week, we offer a living away allowance to help cover the cost of accommodation and also pay for travel to and from site.
