Engineering Apprentice - Sheffield
Mondelez International are looking to recruit Engineering Apprentices at our Gum, Candy and Biscuit manufacturing site in Sheffield. Successful apprenticeship candidates will set out on a journey that will ultimately lead to being a highly qualified and trained engineering Technician.
Qualifications Required: 4 GCSEs A*-C including English Language and Maths or equivalents
We are looking to recruit Engineering Apprentices at our Gum, Candy and Biscuit manufacturing site in Sheffield. Successful candidates will set out on a journey that will ultimately lead to being a highly qualified and trained engineering Technician.
As an Apprentice Engineering Technician you will be trained in the practical and theoretical aspects of maintaining our processing and packaging equipment.
This may include:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical and process control systems
- PLC software applications
- Electro-mechanical design and solutions
- Electrical wiring, testing and installation
- Pneumatic systems
- Process instrumentation
On successful completion of the four year programme you will be awarded an Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3).
08.00 - 16.00 Monday to Friday in first year, 07:00 - 15:00 in years 2 & 3. Year 4 aiming to be on rotating shift pattern as part of a team of technicians. 40 hours per week.

You must be willing to learn, keen to get your hands dirty and have a passion to understand how things work to develop into a maintenance engineer of the future.

Training to be Provided
- Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician SFA 146
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing (Foundation Competence) (practical training for mechanical and electrical maintenance)
